About

The Alkemio EXPERIMENTAL web server is dedicated to scientists interested to rank chemicals and drugs for a selected biomedical topic. Chemicals and drugs are ranked using a text-minig approach based on chemical-related or drug-related scientific abstracts, similarly to the Génie algorithm. Importantly, results are only experimental computer predictions generated for Research purpose and shall not be considered for defining any medical treatment.

History

  • 2015-05-07: Daily updates of PubMed are now active.
  • 2015-03-24: Migration to servers in Mainz and update of all data from NCBI. Daily updates of PubMed are still not active.
  • 2014-11-28: Minor bug fixes.
  • 2014-03-25: Installation of a performance boost when MeSH terms are used as query. Change in the display to top 10 abstracts to use symbols.
  • 2013-12-19: Fixing the SOAP documentation to clarify usage of commas and semicolumns in lists of MeSH terms or chemicals.
  • 2013-12-12: Release of the SOAP web service Beta 1. Automatic updates of the chemical test set. Adding option to use 1 year old citations from PubMed (faster than with 3 years but smaller test set).
  • 2013-03-14: Fixing minor bugs (e.g. Apache warnings, and navigation menu).
  • 2013-03-08: Setting the recent biomedical literature as 3 years old citations in PubMed. Removing Proteins, Protein Complexes, and Enzymes and Co-enzymes from chemicals to be ranked.
  • 2013-02-20: Updates to highlight the target chemical/drug name or synonyms in related abstracts.
  • 2013-02-11: Start of the project
