Xsurvey is a web tool to obtain the complete set of homorepeats (polyX regions) from a set of completely sequenced reference proteomes. We currently have information for 23,150 proteomes obtained from UniProtKB. It produces a ready-to-publish figure depicting the polyX usage per proteome. We suggest you order the species based on taxonomy to obtain meaningful dissimilar usage patterns.

The execution of the tool will produce a figure similar to this one.

Choose a name for the job
Choose a threshold   to look for polyX regions
>=4/6 (default) >=8/10

Choose a set of species (choose A, B, C or D; default A > B > C > D )

(A) Provide a list of taxonomic ID (separated by ";")
Species will be ordered on the x-axis of the figure based on the order in which they are given here.

(B) Manual selection of species by name
Species will be ordered on the x-axis of the figure based on the order in which they are given here.

(C) Select one pre-selected set of reference proteomes Eukaryotes Fungi Chordata Mammalia Primates

Eukaryotes Fungi Chordata Mammalia Primates

(D) Let the tool select a set of 20 random species
